Mercedes-Benz Vans teams up with EO Charging

Mercedes-Benz Vans has partnered with EO Charging to provide customers with electric vehicle (EV) chargers, charge point management software and ongoing support and maintenance.

Fleet and small businesses customers can now purchase EO chargers from an official Mercedes-Benz UK retailer at attractive rates.

For retail customers, an EO home charge point will be supplied and installed free of charge.

Key to Mercedes-Benz Vans’ decision to engage in the new partnership, it said, was the industry-leading service and maintenance package that EO provides to customers through the installation and life of the charger.

The Mercedes-Benz Vans range includes fully electric eSprinter and eVito variants, while the first right-hand drive eCitans are set to arrive in the UK towards the end of 2022. All produce zero tailpipe emissions.

Kevin Ferris, head of electric mobility at Mercedes-Benz Vans UK, added: “We are committed to the pursuit of emission-free mobility and sustainable vehicle production, and it is crucial as we work towards these goals that we do so with partners we trust. This explains why Mercedes-Benz Vans UK has chosen to add EO as a charging partner.

“Our pledge to those contemplating the switch to electric is that we will be at their side to support them on their journeys to a cleaner, ‘greener’ future. Given its well proven capabilities and advanced technology, I have every confidence in EO’s ability to assist our customers by making the transition as simple as possible.”

EO Charging also unveiled its fleet EV charging ecosystem — a complete charging infrastructure available for car, van, truck, and bus fleets. The ecosystem includes smart fleet consultation, design and deployment, AC and DC charging hardware, and 24/7/365 support and maintenance.

Charlie Jardine, chief executive and founder of EO, said: “With EO’s turnkey solution, fleet managers and operators will have a one-stop shop for planning through implementation of the electrification of their vehicle fleets.

“A primary focus is to ensure the EO Cloud offers fleet managers the right software-based tools and single viewpoint to manage electric vehicles anywhere in the world. We’re working to integrate the world’s best charging hardware, third-party management systems and data management to facilitate this.”
