Interior. Impressive functionality and comfort.
Whether you're looking at the standard-fit height-adjustable steering wheel, the shift lever knob, the light switch or the pushbuttons in the instrument panel – the layout, look and function of the driver's area all measure up to the customary high standards of Mercedes-Benz.
All controls are laid out ergonomically and within easy reach, and can be operated intuitively. The easy-to-read instrument cluster with shift point display encourages economical driving.
Up to 65.7 mpg* – the Citan also sets a good example when it comes to fuel consumption [1] [2].
The engine line-up has the right solution for every requirement profile. Available only with front-wheel drive, there is a choice of a high-torque 75 hp (55 kW), 90 hp (66 kW) or 110 hp (81 kW) diesel powerplant or an advanced 114 hp (84 kW) petrol engine for the Citan panel van. The 110 hp (81 kW) and 114 hp (84 kW) engines are scheduled to be available from the latter part of 2013.
The advanced Citan engines meet the requirements of the Euro 5 emissions standard and, thanks to innovative BlueEFFICIENCY technologies, can help to boost your company's level of economy [3].
Extensive safety equipment.
The Citan also leads the way when it comes to safety: fitted with ADAPTIVE ESP® (Electronic Stability Program), Brake Assist and ABS as standard, it impresses with its short stopping distances and good response in the wet.
