Solar EV Charging Becomes Focus For 3ti Energy Hubs

3ti Energy Hubs has announced the sale of its solar car park construction business to Phoenix Renewables in a strategic move that will allow the company to concentrate solely on its solar-powered electric vehicle (EV) charging hubs.

The transition marks a renewed focus on 3ti’s Papilio3 charging solution, a rapidly deployable system built around repurposed shipping containers. Each Papilio3 hub enables the installation of up to 12 EV chargers in just a single day.

These innovative charging hubs are already in use at high-profile locations including NHS hospitals, police stations and Silverstone Circuit. By using integrated solar generation, they allow businesses to deploy EV charging quickly and with reduced reliance on the National Grid.

Alex Tupman, CEO of 3ti, commented, “This strategic move represents a pivotal moment for 3ti as we focus our resources on what we do best – delivering rapid, reliable EV charging solutions through our patented Papilio3 technology.

Egg’s backing by Liberty Global Europe and their experience in the clean energy sector make them the perfect partner to continue serving our enterprise solar car park clients.”

The agreement will see the transfer of intellectual property, three employees, and several enterprise-level opportunities to egg. To date, 3ti’s solar car park installations have generated over 20 GWh of clean electricity.
